Goth/ Gothic Music pet peeves

We all hear other complain about issue they have on the goth sub-culture so i have decide to make a list of pet peeves but when it come to Gothic music...







1. "people calling bat-cave a genre of music" When it is not

batcave:1982 the batcave club open at soho london and it wear alot of the most well know gothic music band play e.g... specimen, the cure,siouxsie and the banshees play gigs

2. People that class non-goth music as "so goth"




band like evanescence, marilyn manson (MM), NIN, nightwish etc.......You alway have new bee goth that think this is what got music sound like but when you listen to real got band/ music you quickly learn that it on a whole another level of sound and talent...

I not saying goth cant like these non-goth bands or song just understand the different really help









3. copying singer look,style because you think it make you look "goth"
 Sure it ok to find a singer style look great and you want to dress the same but if your only doing it to be "more goth" that not the write way of doing it

the gothic culture all about dark, elegent creativity and lot of goth say their makeup,diy cloth is their way of feeling artistic and creative and how they express them self as goth...
but just to copy a sing style and not understand who the creativity person behind the style.. Wear the love the fun part about being goth and different if having fun with you style mixing it up, change it pushing the normal/mainstream style it not fun if we all carbon copy cloner.

and generally you will be call a poser for doing it goth can smell the fake

4. Bela Lugosi's Dead by Bauhaus is not the only Bauhaus song Yes Yes i love this song and make me want to dance every time i hear it but i also know that they have other song that sound good and i also enjoy. e.g... "she's in parties" is a nice song

zombie Tv shows

Lets talk zombie tv show. Zombie in movies has always been a popular and money making market for the movies maker... and since the market and need of zombie has grow and gotten bigger their as been a need to new zombies to a more public access... so hear we have zombie tv show...

The Walking Dead

lets talking walking dead pretty much every one on the walking dead banned wagon and these fan are also get angry if you try to say another zombie tv show is better than walking dead.. so be careful when talking zombies... Walking dead is of course based In American because everything happen in American so you full a story of the a group of people surviving  together try to just live in this f**k up world. and they have learn over lots of season that everyone else are just arss hole out to get them from cannibal, to god like complex people, gangs etc......  

Z Nation

let talking Z nations I was really disappointed to hear that they only doing 3 season of this show because I really enjoy it. and found it refreshing as a zombie show... it take the zombie world to a hole new level and a f**k up funny level too... It get some good laugh out of this show and also say I cant believe they did that with killer bells, killer cheese ball, zombie weed, and zombie baby Jesus need I say more......

Fear the Walking Dead

Let talk about Fear the walking dead this show is kinder a spine off from the walking dead and show what it was like in the bigger city when it all started... so you following a hole new character a story line completely different to walking dead but I not sure it I'm really like this show yet I going to have to keep watching to see if I like it.

Let talk izombie this is a interest show and it based about the world not knowing their a zombie out break and the zombie are keep in on the down low by still living their life like more and but buying their brain black market style... kinder like a very soft style of zombie more and all the zombie that eat brains can see memory of the people they have eaten.

Ash vs Evil Dead

let talk ash vs evil dead I wouldn't say this is a complete zombie style show... it more based around the evil dead movies and what happen to ash afterwards the zombie are more demon that take over dead people body they can talk and trying to kill you.

Death Valley

Let talk death valley this is a really unusual style of zombie movie people much the zombie have happen and life has just keep going like normal their no arm not trying to keep them out pretty much the police do it all.... they come in all gun firing and hope they kill them... it got some funny point to the show their also werewolf in this show but the show only made it for one season.

The Returned us & the returned

Let talk about both returned their both kinder the same story lines just a letter different you following a town that people are die but those people are slowing starting to come back like nothing has happen to them and they have no memory of it... but why it a zombie show is because their not ghost but their no horror to this show

Highschool of the Dead

if your into this style of show hear a zombie style it following a high school kids pretty much you just right into the zombie their no explain how it happen I was 2 ep of this show and got over the boobs, and arss.. it a zombie show I don't want hundred of shots of them showing off girls if this is your taste be my guess.

10 Goth Mum Problems

1. shopping for gothic vibe baby/kids clothing is a nightmare

2. You enjoy nightmare before Christmas and frankenweenie more that the kids

3. Making friends with "normal parents" just doesn't work

4. The other kids think you look like a witch

5. The goth coffee stereotype from south park goth kids is pretty much right

6. Finding new creativity way to hide from your kids when watching horror movie

7. Cookie mark on your pretty cloths, I'm always leave my house wear my kids and the youngest in 4 it still happening

8. Some day you do feel like a zombie from day of the dead or something like that

sleep zombie or a flu zombie

9. You want a Victorian pram for your new born baby but they don't sell them anymore unless you spend hour at vintage shops

10. Giving your baby/kids gothic names: As a goth you are expected to give your kids a interesting gothic style name like raven etc.....  when it come to non-gothic parent and gothic parent you cant win when it come to name you kids...

True fact this happen to me I name my boys Michael and Luke I go a dirty remark because I gave my boys a "comment" name.

Hello all one of the biggest thing that new-goth/old goth have trouble with is trying to goth up a simple out fit. So I hope this give goth some new idea on what they can do to feel beautiful and comfortable in their self and their style.... YES YES I didn't wear any jewellery oh my god and everyone that follow my view know I love jewellery but I didn't want the jewellery to take attention away from the dress and what I'm trying to show with the style

modern vampire books

 So as a personal lover of the gothic sub-culture and a lover of reading a good books that fall under the gothic umbrella. One of the most popular reading style and types is VAMPIRES. We all have a romantic idea of vampire and the dark story of a vampire's life... What made me fall in love with vampires was first watching the movie's Dracula and Anne rice Interview with a vampire after see those movies I WAS HOOKED. So of course I read the books who wouldn't

So after Anne rice book we started to slow see the culture of vampire story change to evil vampire, good vampire, hero type vampires, gory/horror scary type vampire... To the evolution of twilight vampires... And this is wear I want to talk about today. No I'm not going to talk about twilight yes I will happily say I enjoy the books and the movies but their not my most favoured vampire story. But I will agree twilight has kinder killer the mystery of vampire for the modern culture.

Since we are look at new modern style of vampire book I want to share a few books I have read and enjoy that YES have vampires.

First thing first I love love these books I have current read all these books about 5 times now and would happy pick them up again. They do have a fantastic way of sucking you into the story line..

So the story line is their different type of vampires in this story you have your Royal vampire of well breeding "moroi" and their the rich and upper class of the vampire world and they can also so do magic like earth, fire, air, water and spirit you have your non-royal vampires Dhampir they are lower class vampires they become the body guards or low class workers of the vampire world. then you have you other type of vampire "strigioi" they are the evil vampire of these world or more like the infected vampires. The books is bass around Rose Hathaway a Dhampir and Lissa Dragomir a Moroi and they teenage vampire only trying to just be teenager and handle and understand the vampire world system. Of course like any good story their love and danger. This story your really following rose character and I love it.

So if you lover Vampire academy and was really sad that the book finish have no fear they created a spine off from the book this following vampire academy but around some of the other character of the book. I will say I put up the story really quickly because it the same style and everything but I will say it took my a lot longer to fall in love with the character and the change in story. why reading this book I want it to spine back to the old character and what they doing which really doesn't have much in this story because it is a spin-off. Still a enjoyable read if you like VA


Rose's story might have wrapped up in the Vampire Academy series, but there's still lots more to tell about the other characters from that world. This one a really hard one it  call it self a vampire book but once you starting reading the book you find out quickly that it more vampire that have turn yet... like all modern vampire book these day the story bass around teenager, school, and love story. Like the first book being called marked you pretty much get marked as a vampire when you a human and have to go to the vampire high... this story is more like a wicca book. with goddess, temple, using the elements etc...... I got t say I haven't read all the book I think I ever will fully finish the story I kinder lost interest in the story line.

More a long the lines of a real vampire story. this story is around a world control by vampire and the main character of the book hate vampire then become one her self. so she has to run away from it all and do it on her own by of course she fall in love and the an evil world domination style story. but I enjoy it and I like the fact their only 3 books so it a quick read that doesn't drag out.

The story bass around a vampire queen that become human and try to fix into the human world but the vampire world cant let her go. at first I didn't think I would like this book but once I go into the story line of it I like it of course the love triangle pissed me off a little bit but you kind have to run with it.
