challenging wedding dilemma: What do you wear if you are invited to a wedding that’s going to be fairly traditional or formal, and everyone else is going to be wearing pastels and pearls?
and you are a goth!

First you have to ask who are you??

Who are you i mean in relation to the bride and groom and where do you fall in the ranking of the wedding guests.

If for instance your a relative or close friend to the bride or groom the chances are they know you and your style.

if however your someone plus one or dont know the happy couple well they may be in for a shock when they see you on the day.
And not all brides will be cool about your goth look, sorry it true.

first tips:

1: ask the question of the bride is their a theme to your wedding? is their a style? and would you be uncomfortable with me wearing black?
Yes their some bride they follow the rule it bad luck to wear black to a wedding. relax
black has become popular color to wear at a wedding as long as the bride ok.

if tattoos, piercings and weird-colored hair should be covered for the pictures.

2: Be your self and be comfortable. dont wear something that make you feel ugly and uncomfortable
you can still show your own style without upstaging the bride, you just have to do it in a slightly different way than usual.

3: accessories can be your best friend, so if you want to wear a black dress and you know you bride maybe uncomfortable with coffin, death theme jewellery on her wedding day. try for some color theme jewellery like red, purple, green, blues, pinks...

try wear pretty chokers with lace, Victorian cameos, rose, animals like a cat or bat.

4: mix it up, if you have to wear a colour dress purple, blues, pinks, green, grey etc......look for a elegant feel like put some lace over the top of it or maybe wear a corset
to add a gothic vibe to your outfit. but remember you dont want to be too sexy or wear something that can be seen as over the top,
Yes their are bride that will kill you for wear a red dress, because a red dress it a over powering colour in photo, see as a hook up/ slut outfit.

5: know your shapes sometime it can be very help in shopping for a dress you would never normal buy to know what style look good on you, and shopping around does not hurt. and alway think out side the
box. remember your not looking for something that fit your causal style.

6: try creating you outfit a few days before the wedding and take photo of your self, sometimes things can look wonderful in a mirror but them horrible, horrible in photo and these photo the bride will be keep for the rest of her life. so be mindful of that..

7: makeup, depending on what your wear sometime relaxing your makeup can help or changing it up with some calming natural colour but using a liner pencil or liqueur liner to still getting your gothic cats eyes.

8: have fun it one day/night so you can alway go back to your spooky self once it all over. your their to support the bride and groom..
